Keeping memories special

What is The Conversation Conservation Project?

Founded by poet and writer Gareth Williams, The Conversation Conservation Project creates a warm, welcoming space for organisations and individuals from any sector (private or charity) to record a digital legacy for the community and loved ones. This initiative fosters meaningful dialogues — either with loved ones or empathetic "friendly strangers" — on topics they’ve never explored deeply before.

Through these conversations, we aim to:

  • Broaden your mind with fresh perspectives.

  • Touch your heart with honest and inspiring moments.

  • Preserve memories for future generations.

Each conversation is edited to highlight the most profound moments of connection, archived permanently on our dedicated website, and shared via bite-sized "Memory Bites" on our popular podcast.

Why Join Us?

  • A Legacy of Connection: Your stories, recorded today, will live on for future generations.

  • Inclusive Participation: Our flexible formats ensure everyone can participate, whether face-to-face or online.

  • Impactful Partnerships: We collaborate with organisations, care providers, and local sponsors to make this initiative accessible and sustainable.

How Does It Work?

Step 1: Join the Conversation
You or your organisation can participate in one of two ways:

  • Face-to-face recording sessions: Enjoy in-person interactions with high-quality audio and video capture.

  • Virtual recording sessions: Connect seamlessly online with exceptional sound and video clarity.

Step 2: Create and Share Your Story
After recording, we professionally edit your session, adding branded intros/outros and summaries. Your conversation is archived on our website and ready to share across social media.

What Makes Us Unique?

  • Stories with Heart: Capture the essence of what matters most to you and your loved ones.

  • Community Focused: Designed for individuals and organisations looking to make a lasting impact.

  • Expert Facilitation: Guided by Gareth Williams and enriched by the voices of the dementia community.
